I’ll start doing this every week on the blog, and before you even ask, I do not do point spreads, I may include them from time to time, but I usually just pick the games straight up.  If you guys want, I can add the spreads in the future??  These are the games I will be watching…Starting with my Utes, of course! Let’s do this.

#24 UTAH vs UNLV

We got this. UNLV’s defense is garbage! I will give the Rebel credit for always showing up against us, this is spoiler central, but Utes QB Terrance Cain should have a good game. UNLV can move the ball well offensively, but we should be able to contain them. My pick, Of course: Utah

#1 Florida vs Arkansas

I have certainly be pleased with what I have scene from Arkansas. He’s still Benedict Arnold around these parts, but that damn Bobby Patrino can sure coach, IN COLLEGE.  Problem for the Razorbacks, and their #11 ranked scoring offense, they have to go to Gainsville. Spikes and co. are just to focused for me. Notice I didn’t mention that machine that plays QB? No need. My pick: Florida

#2 Alabama v #22 South Carolina

Two of the Top ranked defenses in the country face off in Alabama.  Despite Gamecock’s recent winning streak, and defensive prowess, the party ends today.  Alabama is just to powerful (See: Mark Ingram),  expect SC to show up and play well, at least 3 quarters. Bama should wear em down by the 4th.  My Pick: Roll Tide

#3 Texas v #22 Oklahoma

I have to go back around 5 seasons to realize hat I have not picked UT to win this game.  Bradford is back, but UT is playing for all the marbles, and I don’t see Colt McCoy failing in this game.  That being said I certainly will not discount the talent on OU’s sideline, and frankly wonder aloud why they will NOT unleash DeMarco Murray, the kid is nasty, just does not get enough touches. Texas has had only ONE tough game this year, vs Texas Tech, but My Pick: Texas

#4 Virginia Tech v #19 Georgie Tech

I expect this to be one of the best games of the day.  I know the Hokies are rolling right along, playing Beemer ball while amasing over 420 plus yards a game the past few weeks. I have watched this Tech team live two times, and there is just something about this group that I really like.  To beat Tech, you have to be extremely discipline defensively, or look out.  Toughest Pick of the Day, but My Pick: Georgia Tech (*No home cooking either)

#6 USC v #25 Notre Dame

Ok, If you follow my twitter, I have talked smack about ND. It’s not personal, consider the type of recruiting class annually arriving on ND campus and you know they underachieve often.  Things seem to be back for the Irish, and Jimmy Clausen is, in the words of Denny Green “Who We Though He Was”.  No team makes me more nervous on the road than USC.  They do however have a nice streak of W’s against the Irish that should continue today. Hey, Irish could win, Washington did….but, My Pick: USC

#11 Iowa v Wisconsin

This is a coin tosser, at least that’s what it should be based on the way both of these teams line up.  Wisconsin just lost their 1st game last week.  Most say Iowa is unspectacular, but very physical and well coached. Well, ten victories in a row is spectacular enough for me.  Wisconsin is home, if they can get John Clay rolling (avg over 100 a game) they can win this game. However, My Pick: Iowa

#9 Miami vs UCF – Stat to know, UCF has NEVER beaten a top 25 since moving to D-1. No change today, My Pick: Miami

Texas Tech v #15 Nebraska -  Could be me, but somehow I think the Huskers #14 ranked pass defense is really in for a show. LOL. My Pick: Red Raiders

#16 Oklahoma State v Missouri – How pissed is Mizzou? I say very pissed after the “L” to Nebraska, and OKST doesn’t have Dez or Kendall? Plus a suspect Defense. Oh lawd.  Still, My Pick: OK St. (I know, I know)
