The NFL schedule was released today. I can’t remember the schedule’s release causing such anticipation before? Of course, it could be that as a former player, I was programmed over the course of many years to not care who was on the schedule. I mean, sure you like to know, but you have to play the games anyway. The old ball coach used to say, “Doesn’t matter who you play, but how you play against them”.
Regardless of how coaches feel, the anticipation of the schedule release is great for the NFL. I can hear fan’s all over America already predicting likely records for their teams next season. I shall join them!! HA.
The Atlanta Falcons 2010 schedule:
1) 9-12 @ Steelers
2) 9-19 vs Cardinals
3) 9-26 @ Saints
4) 10-3 vs 49ers
5) 10-10 @ Browns
6) 10-17 @ Eagles
7) 10-24 vs Bengals
BYE (Best timing for a BYE, weeks 6-10)
9) 11-07 vs Buccaneers
10) Thursday Night 11-11 vs Ravens 8:20pm
11) 11-21 @ Rams 4:05pm
12) 11-28 vs Packers
13) 12-05 @ Buccaneers
14) 12-12 @ Panthers
15) 12-19 @ Seahawks 4:05pm
16) Monday Night 12-27 vs Saints 8:30pm
01-02-2011 vs Panthers
**All games 1 pm unless otherwise noted**
You want my shot in the dark, quick prediction for the Falcons, 10-6. Briefly, the Steelers will more than likely lose Ben Roethlisberger, week one should be a W. The Cardinals, Panthers, Browns, Eagles & in a way the Cardinals, will all be breaking in new QB’s. This is not to say they will not do well, but I’ll take Matt Ryan over them all. I will get more in depth as the season draws closer.
